What is yoga?
Literally translated ‘YOGA’ means ‘UNION’, the union of body and mind allowing the experience of our true Spirit. Yoga is non-religious, and promotes physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. A typical class involves breathing exercises, physical poses, relaxation and introduction to meditation through concentration practices.
The goal of yoga practice is move towards harmony between body, mind and spirit. The body is an system of engeries influenced directly by the relationship between breath, heart and brain. Regular Yoga practice is likened to a “maintenance service” for this system.
